The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is the “front door” to our community and we welcome you as a new resident or a visitor.  Paris is the county seat of Edgar County, which has a population of 19,700. We invite you to visit our community and experience the hometown atmosphere and understand why the residents are proud to call Paris-Edgar County “home.”

The Paris Leaders Program is sponsored by the Chamber and had its first class in 2002.  As of 2006,  we have graduated sixty-one Future Leaders.

                 “Paris Area Leaders” was created to increase the quality and quantity of men and women capable of accepting leadership roles in varied community organizations.  Participants will be exposed to a variety of social and economic issues facing our area. 

This awareness helps develop informed, civic-oriented leaders who are interested in helping direct the future of the Paris area.
